Keeping Patients Healthy & Safe During Coronavirus
Learn about our enhanced safety protocols and what to expect during your next visit.
At Associated Dentists, we always put patient safety first. Over the years, we’ve taken great pride in going above and beyond to ensure that all of our patients receive exemplary care, in a comfortable and safe environment.
The recent pandemic has changed our daily lives — and now your regular dental visits may look and feel a bit different, too. Still, one thing remains constant: our commitment to your health and safety. Infection control has always been a top priority for Associated Dentists. Our practice follows infection control recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow these agencies closely so we are always up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

Associated Dentists has taken numerous steps to ensure the safety of patients, guests and staff. Some of these steps include:
- Wearing N95 masks for all aerosol procedures
- Using high-volume suction to reduce aerosols during hygiene and doctor procedures
- Installing a state-of-the-art air cleaning system to reduce contaminants in the air
- Changing lab coats after each aerosol procedure
- Using a paperless dental system to reduce office touchpoints
- Sanitizing high touch points, common areas, treatment rooms and restrooms throughout the day
- Using a professional commercial cleaning company to perform nightly cleanings as we have always done.
Here are a few things to expect before your next dentist appointment:
Before your visit:
Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask a few health screening questions. For example, we’ll need to assess whether you’ve been exposed to the virus or if you’ve been sick lately. If you have, we will ask that you reschedule your appointment for a later date.
All staff, patients and guests are required to wear masks in our building.
We also ask that you limit the number of guests that accompany you during your visit, so that we can remain socially distanced and safe in our welcome area and treatment rooms.
During your visit:
When you arrive at our office, we’ll ask you a few more screening questions. We’ll also take your temperature with a touch-free thermometer. During
your visit, we’ll provide you with hand sanitizer in the reception area, and throughout our office. It’s important to keep in mind that we will be managing
the flow of patients, so there may not be as many options for scheduling your appointment. If you would like to check in from your vehicle and avoid the reception area, we can accommodate that, too.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we have taken to keep our patients and staff members safe in our practice. When
you are ready to make an appointment, please call the Madison office at (608) 238-7112 or the Verona office at (608) 848-4000. You can also request an appointment online.
Thank you for choosing Associated Dentists. We value your trust and loyalty as we continue to serve our patients, neighbors, and friends.
